Closing

Many of my slaves have been escaping to far away lands, those that are called "Canada". This place is known for it's own rule, NO SLAVERY! I fully disagree with this rule, because I beleive there is nothing wrong with using black people for our own uses... it's not like they have much better things to be doing!

I was snitching around at night in my secret hide out and is heard some black quaker abloshionists talking about me and how my Riley plantation is such a killer for many black native american slaves, that's what I like to hear. Though I also heard about them talking about all the slaves, that are mine going to gang up on me (steal my whip) and fight me until I promise to whip no more! If my mommy ever saw this than she would be so very proud. If infact they do fight angainst me then this might be the last and final time that I will be writing in this. I might miss you and writing about all my pleasures of hurting/torturing little black slaves that I own!
I think that I shall stop them before they can get to me, by whipping them 'till I can't whip them no more!!

Determination

I, Simms, am determined to find my slaves that have escaped! If anyone finds the two girls that have ran away up North, to Canada, will be payed a nice amount of $money$ for the catch. They also have brought along with them two boys for safety but I have caught them. Also if anyone may find Alexander Ross the evil back stabbing Canadian, please send him directly to me, so I can punish him by myself!!

Cruelty

I would say that the theme of this book is cruelty, because I am a bad, evil-minded slave owner that is very cruel to all slaves and black people. This theme is part of the book in which I control everyone I want to and don't give anyone rights. I believe this is an amazing description of my life as a cruel slave owner and other slave owners that treat others poorly. I show cruelty every day when my slaves aren't working hard enough for me, I normally whip them!
